• Anything by C.S. Lewis particularly The Screwtape Letters, The Great Divorce, and of course the Chronicles of Narnia. I think The Horse and His Boy is my favorite of the Narnia series.
• Anything by John Piper, particularly Desiring God and Seeking and Savoring Jesus Christ
• The Pressure’s Off by Larry Crabb – a life-changer!
• Disappointment with God by Phillip Yancey
• The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman
• For Men Only and For Women Only by Jeff and Shaunti Feldhahn
• Cat and Dog Theology by Bob Sjogren and Gerald Robison

Movies

• The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (I have the director’s cut)
• Narnia: Prince Caspian
• Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
• Shadowlands
• Anna and the King
• The Princess Bride

Sports Teams/Players

• Any team from the University of Texas, particularly the Longhorn Football Team – Hook “Em Horns!
• Atlanta Braves baseball
• San Antonio Spurs basketball
• Tiger Woods – so amazing that even I’ll watch golf on TV
• UNC Tar Heels basketball team – courtesy of my sister, Jean, who teaches at UNC

Foods

• Steak and potatoes
• Chocolate
• Apple desserts
• The pecan bread pudding from Cool River Restaurant
• A good salad with raspberry vinaigrette
